Dumbest Music Videos: Estranged by Guns n’ Roses

Axl Rose was sad, so he jumped off a big ship and got saved by dolphins. Then Slash performed a guitar solo while walking on water. Let’s revisit Guns n Roses’ “Estranged,” one of the dumbest music videos.

The last time we checked in with Guns n Roses, Axl Rose was mourning the death of his wife, who suddenly died because it rained at their wedding and this guy jumped through their cake. Let’s see how Axl is doing in this sequel to November Rain.

Well, not great. A bunch of cops and EMTs have stormed house to arrest him, presumably for how dumb November Rain was. You can tell they’re badass because they’re wearing backwards baseball caps and little bluetooth headsets.

The big centerpieces of his mansion are a giant Jesus and a small dinosaur toy. The SWAT team can’t find Axl, but it’s because he decided to take a nap in his overhead crawl space. They can’t find him and even Axl can’t believe it, so he gives his best Jim Halpert look to the camera like.

When he wakes up, he performs a big concert with his friends, Guns n Roses. After the show, it’s nap time again for Axl, who takes a little snooze. Night night Axl! Instead of having a dream about the death of his wife, like he did in the November Rain video, Axl decides to astrally project himself. It’s like a reboot of Dr Strange but instead of a cape he just has some pale white legs.

Ghost Axl goes straight for the shower while wearing all of his clothes. This answers a longstanding question: is Axl Rose a nevernude like Tobias on Arrested Development? The answer, it appears, is yes.

After his shower, he puts on all white and joins his bodyguard for a police-escorted limo ride. Is everyone wearing all white because Axl died in the SWAT raid earlier and we are now in heaven? Or is it just the last weekend before Labor Day and the cops, Axl, his bodyguard, and the random children on his playground all want to wear their best white outfits before it’s too late?

As he rides, a theme develops. The car he’s in has a dolphin logo. He stands outside a wall of TVs dramatically smoking a cigarette as dolphin footage plays behind him. Then he walks down the street, which is actually a river, and full of dolphins. Also theres a dolphin billboard. And a dolphin flying out of a big plane.Either this is all foreshadowing something, or Axl Rose is a huge Lisa Frank fan.

We cut to a giant oil tanker on the ocean, where Axl is just casually hanging out. He looks around to make sure nobody on this completely empty oil tanker can see him before he jumps into the ocean.

His friend throws him a liferaft, but Axl says fuck your liferaft. Another friend comes over in a little boat but Axl says fuck your little boat. He is determined to drown in little short shorts and Charles Manson t shirt.

But wait, here come some dolphins! Axl’s Lisa Frank fandom has paid off, and the dolphins decide they’re all going to save him. Literally nothing in this video prepared me to see that coming. Wow. Axl’s friend Slash celebrates by rising out of the ocean and performing a guitar solo while walking on water.

Thanks to the help of some friendly dolphins, Axl has regained the will to live and perhaps he’ll return to his all white home to play on that weird little dinosaur toy. Axl’s shirt was right, this video IS deep. And also…extremely dumb.

Who Is John Callahan? — 5 Things About The Soap Actor Who Died – Hollywood Life

John Callahan, best known for his role as Edmund Grey on the soap ‘All My Children’, sadly passed away after experiencing a massive stroke.

It’s a sad day for the world of daytime television. One of it’s most beloved stars, John Callahan, has passed away just 66 years old. The tragic news was confirmed by John’s ex-wife and former All My Children co-star Eva LaRue, 53. “May Flights of Angels Wing You to Your Rest my Dear Friend. Your bigger than life, gregarious personality will leave a hole in our hearts forever,” Eva, who shares daughter Kaya McKenna Callahan, 18, with John, wrote. “We are devastated-My great friend, co parent partner, and loving father to Kaya. That big belly laugh, bear hugs, bad puns, ability to harmonize to any song, great kitchen table singing-fests, and two steppin bad a**!” she continued, captioning some of the couple’s happier times. Here’s 5 things to know about the soap legend who suffered a massive stroke at his Palm Desert, California home.

1. He was best known for All My Children. John originated the role of magazine publisher Edmund Grey on the long running ABC soap All My Children back in 1992. Edmund had a number of romantic entanglements in Pine Valley — a fictitious suburb of Philadelphia — including one with his real-life ex-wife Eva LaRue, who played Dr. Maria Santos. John remained on the series on-and-off until 2005, when Edmund was shockingly killed off in 2005. AMC went off the hair after a milestone 41 years in 2011.

2. He was a dad. John married his co-star Eva LaRue back in 1996, and the pair welcomed daughter Kaya McKenna Callahan, 18, on Dec. 6, 2001. The teen was selected to volunteer at the Golden Globe Awards by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association after writing a moving tribute about Robin Williams, and is an active traveller just like her parents. “Kaya and I are beyond broken hearted, so stunned, sorry that my thoughts are a mess,” ex-wife Eva’s post also read. “You gave the best most beautifully written tributes, and I am at a complete loss for words right now for you. I hope Heaven has baseball and that your team always wins! The Yankees has just lost their biggest Fan.”

3. He was close with former co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Before Buffy, Sarah got her start on AMC as Susan Lucci‘s daughter Kendall Hart. Starting on the show as a teen, Sarah developed a number of close relationships with cast members off-screen — including John, who she described as a father figure in her moving tribute on Mar. 28. “Get past the horrible eyebrows on me and you will notice the incredibly handsome man, standing beside, me at my high school graduation. That’s #JohnCallahan or better know to me as GP (but why I called him that remains between us and those closest to him),” she began her emotional post, captioning a sweet throwback photo from her grad ceremony. “He stepped into a lot of moments in my life because I didn’t have a father to be there,” she added.”

4. He appeared on other soaps. Prior to his time on AMC, John got his start in soaps as masseuse Leo Russell on ABC’s General Hospital. He then transitioned into primetime with a two year role on Falcon Crest, before returning to the daytime world on Days of Our Lives. He also appeared on Amazon Prime Video’s popular digital soap The Bay as Detective Mackenzie Johnson.

5. He was from New York. John was born December 23, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY and called the city home throughout most of his career as All My Children filmed at ABC’s studios in the Big Apple.

‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic Has Filed An Appeal To Overturn His 22-Year Prison Sentence

We’ve all been cooped up indoors so I know we’re all pretty much watching the same stuff. Just when it seems like you’ve watched about everything streaming, #Netflix delivered “Tiger King” and it seems many of us decided to take that wild ride.

(Spoiler alert ahead): If you’ve watch the show, then you know that the star of the docuseries, Joe Exotic, is serving 22 years after being convicted in a murder-for-hire plot against his rival, Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin. He was also found guilty of various crimes relating to animal abuse.

According to The Blast, Joe Exotic has filed an appeal in federal court to overturn his prison sentence as he maintains his innocence. Joe has been serving his time at Grady County Jail in Chickasha, Oklahoma, but he’s reportedly in the process of being transferred to a federal facility.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and as it was brought to light in “Tiger King,” he believes he was set up by his ex-Zoo partner Jeff Lowe and government agencies.

Joe is demanding that his sentence be reviewed by an appellate court. As part of his sentence, he was also ordered to participate in a mental health program once released from prison and has been ordered to abstain from drinking or using drugs before and after the treatment program.

He was also ordered to not have any contact with Carole Baskin.

Also in his sentence, when he gets out, Joe will not be allowed to own any species of animal listed as endangered or prohibited by the law. He also has to allow officials to conduct random searches of his property after being released.

Joe Exotic believes the court ruled in error and wants his whole sentence tossed.

Joe has been busy with the courts as he also recently filed a $94 million lawsuit against Jeff Lowe along with the U.S. Federal Wildlife Service and the United States Department of Interior.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
